Opportunity Youth Forum Partner Information:
Opportunity Youth Collaborative: Atlanta Opportunity Youth Collaborative
Backbones/Lead Organizations: United Way of Greater Atlanta
It is time to change our narrative by transforming the lives of all of our youth and young adults, particularly those aged 16-24 who are disconnected or susceptible to being disconnected from education and employment.
We are changing our narrative by collaborating with like-minded organizations and stakeholders to address the inadequate infrastructure, fragmented support for college and career readiness, and a lack of access to jobs with family-sustaining wages. Likewise, our city is listening to our employer communities and preparing our youth to be work-ready.
Atlanta is lifting up the youth voice and working toward addressing their basic needs so they can be successful young adults. Finally, we are aligning our efforts to reduce disparities and the cycle of poverty in Atlanta and increase sustainable households.
Areas of Collaborative Focus: K12 Education/Reengagement; Postsecondary education; Workforce.
